Our hours are Monday - Thursday 8:30 - 12:30 and 2:00 - 5:00, Friday from 8:00 - 12:00

What Body Parts does he treat?

Dr. Cheng specializes in Shoulder, Hip, and Knee. No back or neck injuries.

Do I need to bring my xrays or MRIs?

Yes, absolutely. The Doctor will need them for an accurate diagnosis.

What should I bring?

  • Personal History Form
  • Patient Registration Form
  • Medication Lists
  • MRIs and/or Xrays
  • Your Insurance Information

We have a Personal History Form and a Patient Registration form. Both of these need to be completed before the doctor can see you. They can be downloaded here. Along with Xrays and MRIs, you should also bring all insurance information.

What Insurances do you take?

Dr. Cheng is a member of most PPOs; Please check with your insurance to insure that Dr. Cheng is part of your network. 

Currently, the only HMO Dr. Cheng belongs to is Affinity Medical Group, which does require an authorization from your primary care physician. 

We accept Medicare. 

We accept Affinity, Alta Bates Medical Group and Sutter East Bay Medical foundation referrals from your primary care physician. We do accept work related injuries.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you are covered by your Insurance.

If your insurance refuses payment for any service rendered you will be responsible for the bill

He can provide cortisone injections for both shoulders and knees in office.

Where did Dr. Cheng go to school?

Northwestern University.

He has been in practice since 1991.

Your benefits will determine where your surgery will be. 

YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DRIVE FOR 24 HOURS AFTER SURGERY.

If you cannot find a ride the surgery center can provide transportation.
